Pharty’s Story
Once upon a time there was a monkey that lived far away in the woods.
He didn’t have any brothers or sisters and lost both of his parents when he was young. For years, he had been living in the woods in search of a home where he could have fun with lots of people.
But as he grew older, he found he still didn’t have anyone to celebrate his birthday with every year. In fact, he’d never had a birthday party or been part of any celebrations. He had been lost with no friends and no family.
But one day he was scrolling through TikTok, and a video popped up on his feed of this group of guys on a baseball field dancing to Party Rock Anthem. His face lit up. “Who are these guys?” he thought. It looked like so much fun. He started learning the dance.
But he wanted more, so he started watching all of their TikToks. He saw videos of them throwing cupcakes into the crowd, throwing surprise parties for fans, even playing with fireworks while jumping over a wall.
He watched as they did the Church Clap after the games. He watched as they celebrated everything together. He thought to himself, “Yes, Yes, Yes…This is my home.”
He didn’t have anyone to talk to, so he went back on TikTok and searched “love”. One of the videos that came up was a clip from the movie Love Actually of a man holding signs in front of a woman professing his love. He knew that was it. He could do that and with the right message, he knew the Party Animals would welcome him.
Now that he had a plan, his excitement grew throughout the long journey to Savannah. After many days, he arrived in front of Grayson Stadium and it was finally time for him to meet the Party Animals.
He showed up at their locker room door and knocked. The team came to the door and was shocked to see a giant monkey standing there. It was showtime. He shared his story and professed his love for his favorite team. The team watched as he shared each message until he held his final poster board with the words, “Party On.”
The team was confused as they just stared at the giant monkey standing in front of them. So, he walked off, but the Party Animals ran after him, put their arms around him and brought him back into their locker room. The Party Animals welcomed him as the new mascot of the team. For the first time ever, he felt like he belonged. He was so happy and excited that he farted. Instantly, he felt embarrassed. He never experienced these farts as a kid. It was just because he was excited to be around people and now he was so happy that he kept farting. But these farts didn’t smell bad, in fact, they smelled like cupcakes!
The Party Animals laughed so hard and that’s when they knew what his name should be. The rest is history.
